Hello everyone! Admittedly, there's not much to be said this time around for all is quiet on the FJ front; hence why I haven't posted regularly over the past few months. I for one have been increasingly occupied with school and work, as have most of us. Alas! Summer is now upon us! This is the season when we get the most games played. And although I'm still busy, I've been trying to post consistently in the PbP Forum as well as making appearances in Chatzy.

Also, the FJ: Renegades campaign is soon to be picking up. Don't worry, I know it's been dragging on for a while now, but I have some fun adventures planned! So, stay tuned!

Recently in the FJ: Renegades campaign:

14+ Days on Melceria -- A rebel communique center on Melceria was discovered to have been sabotaged and the crew missing, but who could be behind it? Arbacca has been trying to find a way to contact the rebel faction. Meanwhile, Jasmine has discovered a love interest: a fellow swoop racer named Carth Sonter. Also, Gavril and Jasmine have resumed an investigation to stop the presecution of Zabrak immigrants by local gangsters. However the group is still collectively restless... and ready for a change in scenery.

Recently in the PbP forums :

Z&NO - Chapter Two -- Zara, Farrad, Tobias and Megan Ambreq have undergone a mission to a secret asteroid base in pursuit of a pirate named Stak Doog (who attacked and captured several Jensaarai). In the process, however, they've learned of a deadly new foe: a mysterious wraith with powers unimaginable!
Huntress -- The story of Trandoshan bounty hunter Nasshak has officially concluded, for she has been reunited with her long-lost mate Kraat. But at what cost? Read the entire thread here.

Hello everyone! Happy New Year! Can you believe that this past month was SWFJ's 5-year Anniversary!? Things have been really quiet lately in chatzy, now that school has started up again following Christmas break. Hopefully we can get a session in soon! In the meantime, here's some FJ-related news updates...

Recently in the Renegades campaign...

12+ Days on Melceria -- Jin and Gavril found a job hunting creatures called Gkka, during which time they met an old ally of the group named Kote D'Eppe; Arbacca also met an old friend, a Geonosian techie named Njaa; and Jasmine continues to participate in the swoop race tournament in Belondine, meeting several new friends and enemies.

Recently in VaderGamer's "FJ: Arcane" campaign...

Led by Hal Calder, a rebel agent, the group has traveled to such places as Reaper's World and Adumar in search of an ancient Sith secret--a race against time to recover a hidden power before the Galactic Empire has the chance.

Hey everyone! Happy winter break and Merry Christmas! I have a few things I'd like to mention in this month's FJ Update entry:

Christmas Session & Gifts! The Christmas season is a time when FJ players can recieve special in-game prizes, something we typically hand out via a chatroom event. Please comment below if any day works best for you! So, please try to make an appearance in Chatzy at some point before January 1st to claim your prize!!!
New template! In case you haven't already noticed, I've changed the site template, re-organized some content, and added a personalized banner to the site header. My goal was to get the site looking a bit more professional. I hope you all enjoy it!
Forum Issues. If you've been to the FJ Forums recently you'll notice that there's a problem with the ProBoards IP address, which will re-dirrect you to "h1.ripway.com." We believe it's possibly a hack or some similar issue with the host. Please be patient as we try to figue this out.
Bonus: VG's Cool, New Campaign? There is a rumor that VaderGamer is developing a new and exciting campaign for the current FJ timeline. Is it true? Stay tuned to find out...

Recently in the Renegades campaign...

Three days on the planet Melceria and the group is just starting to get settled. There's plenty to keep them occupied, but drama and intrigue have begun to take various forms. Jasmine struggles with hatred for her father who is a member of the Rebel Council. Vladimir and Gavril have begun to investigate a possible link between local sport heroes and gang-related activities.

Recently in the Renegades campaign...

After fleeing Raxus Prime the group was forced to land the severely damaged Scalphunter on the nearby moon of Tovat. While evading their Imperial persuers, they found themselves in the bowls of the city -- where they encountered a hostile cult of bird-like aliens. Upon defeating the cultist leader, the group freed some Tovati children that had been kidnapped, and were shortly after rescued by Breela Mae. Also, a surprise: Zolar has returned!
The group was then transported to a safe world called Melceria, where they were given a place to live and supplies. They have been instructed to lay low for the time being, but group members aren't so thrilled by the idea. Friendships and loyalties will be put to the test...

Recently in the PbP Forum:

"FJ: Generations" -- Since fleeing Umgul the heroes Eli Kotas and Zara Gra'tua have sought refuge on Clak'dor VII, only to run into the Mandalorian bounty hunters Jendo Boron and his son Zando. To protect the fugitives in her care, Zara fought the Borons and is now their captive. The others were able to escape... but for how long?
"Zara and the New Order" -- Zara Gra'tua and the other Jedi have survived two Imperial invasions upon the academy on Yavin 4. A Jensaarai Knight named Farrad has joined the ranks of the new Jedi Order. Furthermore, two youths named Sev Kotas and Tobias Enn'ado have joined too, the later of which has become Zara's apprentice. (This thread was concluded, but was then unfortunately deleted.)
" Z&NO Chapter 2" -- Five months later: Zara and Tobias are serving the will of the Force, liberating worlds such as Reintross from mercenaries, and have just arrived on Rutan to resolve an interplantery dispute. Farrad is in pursuit of a political assassin. Aelias Alin is a Ranger on the planet Montu Cordu, having just received orders to engage a longstanding enemy. Finally, Eli struggles to find myself amidst changing relationships and events.

Renegades Cutscenes!

As an exciting supplement to the SWFJ: Renegades storyline, short narrative cut scenes will be published for the duration of the campaign. They will cover various events, encounters, and characters that will - in some way - be connected to the central story.

The first two cutscenes have already been released, posted in the FJ Forums: under the "General Board", "Renegades Campaign Cutscenes" thread topic. MS Doc or Adobe PDF variable file formats are available. You can view all published cut scenes >>HERE<< .

Recently in the PbP Forums:

"FJ: Generations" -- Eli and Zara, joined by Hep Kotas and his friend Ruk-Da, have been escorting their fugitive passengers from planet to planet; where they have faced Rybet bounty hunters, sabotage, and now at last have arrived on the world of Umgul. While there, they've encountered several old faces as well as new, including a youthful Hutt and Zara's old nemesis: Jedi Hunter.
"Huntress" -- Nasshak has captured the bounty demanded by her old friend-turned-adversary, Ronos; thus, one step closer to finding her lost mate. But, is she having second thoughts...?
"Into the Night" -- Scouts from both commando teams had been sent to investigate a local settlement; wherein lived a previously unknown group of AWOL clones, but how long will their secret be kept? Also, Gamma squad was attacked by a mystic warrior, while Sigma squad prepares to attack the Separatist fortress.
"NES 1" -- After being imprisoned by an infamous space pirate, Cane and Salleena have been reunited with the Verdan, and have met a fellow prisoner named Gernard. In the latest twist Verdan has now been taken to meet Kaveri Noriko, the pirate queen herself!
"The Return of Santo Ardes" -- Dej Lucan (Santo) and Corec Daelthon have searched numerous worlds in their quest to discover the fate of surviving Jedi and Santo's long lost son. Currently, they are waiting to meet with a supposed Jedi Master on the world of Peronfel-6.
"Zara and the New Order" -- Twenty-nine year-old Zara Gra'tua has joined the Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4 and finished her trial to become a Jedi Knight. However, upon her return Zara was caught up in the middle of Admiral Daala's invasion of the Jedi Praxeum. She now joins the other students in a fight for the very survival of the New Jedi Order...
Addtionally! a Yuuzhan Vong War era PbP is currently in the works, if anyone is interested in joining.

Renegades Campaign Launches!

Several weekends ago the next big campaign in Star Wars Force Journey began, launching the first few adventures in the Renegades storyline. So, what is SWFJ: Renegades about?

After five years as exiles and independent rebels under the Galactic Empire, players are running out of places to hide. The whole galaxy seems to be turning against them as agents of the Empire, bounty hunters, old adversaries and new set their targets on the group members. This expansive campaign will see players jumping from planet-to-planet in order to avoid their enemies, while still undergoing missions for a growing rebel faction.

I (Nat Kotas) am willing to stake this is going to be the most exciting FJ storyline to date! Featuring new ships, items, characters (allies and adversaries), etc., players will always have something to do.

So far, players have undergone an Imperial invasion and evacuation of their base on Fobera, and crash-landed on the junk world of Raxus Prime. I don't want to spoil too much, so if you haven't been to Chatzy in awhile, make sure you do so! We've been playing on Saturday nights but session times may vary. Be sure to stay connected with other players to find out more.

I'm really excited about this campaign and I know others are too! Don't miss out!

PbP Excerpt: "NES 1"

An excerpt from the original play-by-post adventure "NES 1" in the FJ Forums. Check it out!

Cane stood up from where he and Salleena had been resting, and walked over to the barred wall separating their cell from the next. He looked at the newly arrived prisoner, eyes straining to make out the figure... who was laying half-sprawled across the floor, back to Cane.

"Verdan? Is that you?" He asked whispered.

Salleena had just arrived at Cane's side as Verdan rolled over and peered through the darkness. He just stared for a long moment, as if uncertain to whether or not he was just hearing voices.

"He's alive?!" Salleena squealed-- too loud for Cane's liking. "Is it really him??"

Cane berated her softly, as to not draw unwanted attention from the guards.

His voice breaking, Verdan pulled himself up, painfully. "Salleena? Cane?" He dragged himself over to the bars where he collapsed. Their arms were quick to reach out for him.

"I'm so happy to see you!" said Salleena, forgetting to lower her voice again.

Verdan sat limply against the barred barrier, the girl's thin arms reaching through and embracing him tightly. She smiled and wept, delicate hands touching him in comforting ways. The love and affection was quite honestly overwhelming, surpassing all the aching he felt at that moment.

It was Cane who brought him back to reality. "What happened, kid? Where have you been??"
